Hell Fire

There is no such thing as the Christian hell that will burn flesh for ever and for ever. It is a man-made hoax! It is a pagan concept, it is false and the thought that God our Father would burn any of His creation in a hell of eternity for vengeance or for any other reason is repulsive. I am convinced that no one who believes that God is capable of such a thing can truly know Him. They cannot know Him and believe that he would do that!

Matthew 7:22,23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV) I never knew you! Now who is it that does those things in the name of God?  It is the very ones who profess to know and love Him.

Augustine, Dante and others popularized the idea that originated with pagan idol worship. At one point in time, Israelites burned their own children to death sacrificing them to the god Molech. Would God do to His children what he condemned them for doing? I do not think so. Jeremiah 32:35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. (KJV) The idea to burn people came from men, not from God!

2 Chronicles 28:3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. (KJV) Open the scriptures and read it for yourself.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 When you are come into the land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh: and because of these abominations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you. (WEB)

2 Kings 23:10 And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech. (KJV) Every time I hear someone talk of hell fire and burning sinners I think of Jonah. Don't be a Jonah! I have been guilty of the same. Do not wish evil or God's judgment upon others! Pray for them.

The King James revisers did not help the hell confusion. In the translation of the Greek Scriptures, the word hell occurs 23 times in the KJV. It is translated from the Greek word Hades (place of the dead) 10 times, from Greek word gehenna (Valley of Hinnem) 12 times and the Greek tartaroo or tarturus 1 time. They would have done everyone a favor if they would have left those words as recorded in the Greek.

Hades is the place of the dead; no one is tortured in the place of the dead. The dead know not anything. Hades directly corresponds with the Hebrew Sheol, grave, pit, place of the dead. Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. (KJV)

Tarturus is a place for messengers (angels). Who thinks a spirit can be burned with fire? By the way, who is it that will be judging the angels anyway? 1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Gehenna is the place where children were sacrificed to Molech. It is also where the city of Jerusalem burned their trash and the rotting corpses of criminals. Today it is a lush green valley. There may still be worms but there is no fire. Mark 9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. I believe capital punishment will be in force during the millennial rule. I believe the scriptures teach the valley of Hinnom will once again be used for those who are subject to gehenna fire but it is not the Christian hell popularized by hell-fire and damnation preachers!

Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. (KJV) King James renders it hell fire; Young's Literal renders the same scripture as gehenna fire. The Greek text says "gehenna".

Matthew 5:22 but I--I say to you, that every one who is angry at his brother without cause, shall be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Empty fellow! shall be in danger of the sanhedrim, and whoever may say, Rebel! shall be in danger of the gehenna of the fire. (Young's Literal)

I would love to ask the KJV revisers about their word choice in: 1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? That word translated grave is Hades in the Greek. Why did they not translate it hell like they did 10 other times? Did they not want us to have victory over Hell? Did they want us scared and subject to ecclesiastical rule?

Listen to these so called "men of God":

Martin Luther said: "it is the highest degree of faith to believe that God is merciful, who saves so few and damns so many: to believe Him just, who of His own will makes us necessarily damnable"

John Calvin said: "There are babies a span long in hell".

Peter Lombard: "The elect, while they will see the unspeakable sufferings of the ungodly, shall not be affected with grief, but rather satiated with joy at the sight, and give thanks to God for their salvation".

Thomas Aquinas said: "the bliss of the saved may please them more, and they may render more abundant thanks to God for it, they are permitted to gaze on the punishment of the wicked".

Augustine: "though infants departing the body without baptism will be in the mildest damnation of all, yet he greatly deceives and is deceived who preaches that they will not be in damnation."

Charles Spurgeon "When thou diest, thy soul will be tormented alone; that will be a hell for it, but at the day of judgment thy body will join thy soul, and then thou wilt have twin hells, thy soul sweating drops of blood, and thy body suffused with agony. In fire exactly like that which we have on earth thy body will lie, asbestos-like, forever unconsumed, all thy veins roads for the feet of pain to travel on, every nerve a string on which the devil shall forever play his diabolical tune of Hell's Unutterable Lament."

Those are the utterances of mad men who have been blinded by Satan and his messengers.

What is the lake of fire? Will those not found in the book of life burn forever? Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. This is the ONLY biblical definition of the lake of fire, it is the second death.

Brothers and sisters please understand that the Christian Hell of everlasting torment is a human creation that has pagan origins. It never entered into God's mind to do such a thing. (Jer 32:35)

1Timothy 2:3-6 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times; (WEB)

Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? (WEB) No Lord, nothing!

Romans 11:32 For God has shut up all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all. (WEB) Mercy on all! Rejoice! Give Him thanks for the Grace you enjoy this day.

Grace be with you!
